Exercise and Science

The development of strength is critical to sport performance.  The ability to express that strength rapidly is known as speed strength, which is necessary to achieve sport success.  There are many factors that can limit the development of strength and inhibit the expression of strength during sport activity.  Intimate knowledge of the body’s many systems is necessary to overcome these limiting factors and enhance the long-term effectiveness of training for sport.

We have studied a system that accounts for these limiting factors with very practical applications of the following fundamentals of strength:

*The physiology of muscle action

*The biomechanics of strength production

*Neuromuscular stimulation and control

*Adaptation to physical loading

*The various types of strength fitness

*The specificity of muscular and neuromuscular training

*The efficacy and safety of youth training
